  2. Hi! I’m confused. I see the different pastas offered but comments are about the pasta meals. Are there full meals to buy prepared? Coming to Bracebridge soon and would pick some up if available.

    • Hi Faye,

Thank you for your message. We used to have a shoppe called The Pasta Shoppe by Beat the Wheat located in downtown Bracebridge. We have since closed our shop in January 2021 to focus on the production of our baked goods to supply grocery stores across Canada. We do however have a pop-up shoppe located in the Muskoka Natural Food Market at 229 Mantitoba St. in Bracebridge where you will find our lasagnas, breads and baked goods.

    • Hi. Bought a frozen apple pie. What temp and for how long? No instructions and we really don’t want to ruin it. Thanks!

      • Hi Kiki,

Thank you for your message. The pie is already fully cooked. However, if you would like to re-heat the pie you can cook it at 350F for 15-20 minutes or until heated through.

Discovered the butter tarts in Sobeys initially (what a find!!), but they were sold out the next three visits.

Still buying your goodies through the Natural Food Market….thank you for making it still available for casual shopping.

I was wondering if you have considered making gluten free tea biscuits….with cranberries or raisins?

  8. Your butter tarts are FRICKEN AMAZING!! Butter tarts are my absolute favourite treat and I have not had one in 15 years since being diagnosed with Celiac Disease. These were everything a butter tart should be – flaky, buttery, crispy crust and an ooey gooey filling that has a nice chewy top. My whole family loved them. I shared very grudgingly. (Next time will get a pack just for me. ) Thank you so much for creating such a terrific product. I bought them at a sweet little grocery store in Kingston called Daughters and will pick up a box anytime they are in stock!

    • I live near Cornwall, Ontario and with COVID we are limited to gluten free products. I search and found beatthewheat website. This is my third order since January 2021 and cannot believe everything is sooooooo good and deliciouuuus. The tarts are so mouth watering and the crust doesn’t brake apart. So happy cannot stop complimenting and encouraging everyone to support them.

  11. Hi. I purchased your gluten free butter tarts through Sobeys in St. Catharines. I haven’t had a decent butter tart in many years. All I can say is, “Thank you!!” They are so creamy and delicious and the shell held its form and didn’t fall apart on the first bite. My Goodness, so Yummy!!
I look forward to trying some of your other products.
Thank you again for making gluten free taste ‘normal’.

  12. Went up to Muskoka on deliveries with my business and had my 96-year-old mom with me as currently during Covid my sister and I take weekly turns having her with us for a week’s time. She has difficulty chewing highly textured foods and you were so accommodating…offered to cook the pasta a bit more. I ordered the eggplant as well as the pasta with tomato sauce. Very surprised and impressed when the food containers were not plastic! Our food quite tasty and pasta sauce definitely tasted home-made. Overall a great experience. Thank you!

  15. I have been to the Pasta Shoppe each time I come up to Bracebridge and I can’t say enough of the products & service I have received. The pasta is the best that I’ve tasted, and I recently had the chicken parmesian & cheese bagels and couldn’t believe how superb & fresh everything is. I have been celiac for 9 years and have visited a few gluten free bakeries but this one tops the list to go to. If you are in Bracebridge, you would be pleasantly gifted with their food & service.

      • Hello, I have just purchased your Muskoka Maple Coconut Butter Tarts. While the filling is good the pastry seems under cooked and not at all browned as the other butter tarts featured on your website.

        • Hi Lyne,
Thank you for your message. We are sorry to hear you were disappointed with the texture of your butter tarts. Sometimes, depending on where the tarts are positioned on the tray and in the oven, some get cooked/browned more than others. I will email you a promo code for a free package of coconut butter tarts on your next online purchase. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.

          All the best,

          Stephanie

  18. Best gluten free pasta ever. I’ve been gluten free for 12 years and this is the tastiest gluten free pasta anywhere. It is good enough to eat on its own, naked, unsauced, alone on the plate with just olive oil and a bit of salt. Wow.

  19. We stumbled across the Pasta Shoppe randomly when we were in Bracebridge. We are generally new to gluten free options after a few health issues, and the owner was so great in explaining the products! She even packed the pasta specially so that we could camp with the pasta without it going bad! We also tried the focaccia bread (to die for!!) and the banana cream and strawberry rhubarb tarts did not leave me missing the gluten!! By far the best GF options we have had. We will DEFINITELY be back!!!
